September 12, 2025
U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., acknowledged Kreindler’s work on behalf of 9/11 victims and families while speaking at the 2025 Global Summit on Terrorism and Political Violence ahead of the 24th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks. The second Global Summit on Terrorism and Political Violence, hosted by The Soufan Center, is held to honor the memory of 9/11 victims and address today’s evolving global threats.
Kreindler’s terrorism litigation team for the Ashton, et al v. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lawsuit includes attorneys Megan Wolfe Benett, Jim Kreindler, Steve Pounian, Andrew “Duke” Maloney and Gavin Simpson. On August 28, 2025, U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels denied the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s motion to dismiss the 2017 lawsuit filed on behalf of nearly 3,000 victims and their families, allowing the case to proceed to the next stage of litigation.
