A Record-setting History
Kreindler & Kreindler’s longtime position as the leader in aviation accident law can be traced back to 1952 when Lee S. Kreindler proved that a malfunctioning propeller on a National Airlines DC-6 caused a crash that killed 35 people. It was the first plaintiffs’ personal injury of its kind, and the jury awarded at the time the highest award ever as a result of an airplane crash.
Today, almost 70 years later, Kreindler partners have been leading counsel, or co-leading counsel, in nearly every major aviation accident case. In 2003, Kreindler set a single aviation disaster settlement record that still stands today — obtaining nearly $3 billion from Libya and Pan Am in lawsuits arising out of the bombing of Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. We have worked hard to honor Lee Kreindler’s legacy. We have delivered an unmatched history of securing record amounts of compensation for victims and their families, as well as promoting improvements to aviation industry safety standards, practices, laws, and regulations.
Who knows more about aviation law than attorneys who are also licensed commercial pilots?

A Legacy of Success
For generations, our firm’s culture has been grounded in one guiding principle: an unwavering commitment to seeking justice for victims and their families.
At Kreindler, we offer our clients unmatched experience in prosecuting aviation accident cases and our record of success remains unequaled by any other law firm in the world. We pursue each case with relentless determination. We take pride in our results. However, our true measure of success is the settlements we obtain for our clients and helping to give them the ability to move on with their lives.
Kreindler obtained the largest recovery for a single disaster in the history of aviation — nearly $3 billion — against Libya and Pan Am in lawsuits arising out of the bombing of Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
Kreindler clients benefit from the advanced litigation skills and highly specialized technical training our lawyers apply in complex cases, from small airplane accidents and helicopter crashes to domestic and international airline disasters. Kreindler’s trial attorneys include pilots, engineers, and a former aviation maintenance specialist.
We pride ourselves on our technical expertise, our relentless pursuit of the truth and our dogged determination; but at the heart of it, we are people representing people and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Investing in Our Client’s Success
We accept almost all of our cases on a contingent fee basis with specific fee percentages based on such factors as the degree of risk and the number of clients represented in each case. We also routinely advance litigation expenses such as experts’ consultation fees and court costs.
If we accept your case, you will pay nothing to us unless we win.
Whether your suit is aviation-related or you are involved in a massive dangerous drug injury case, Kreindler attorneys provide the same level of personalized attention and service tailored to both a client’s specific objectives and the demands of the case at hand. Kreindler assumes the risk of success with respect to attorneys’ fees.
The Firm That Other Attorneys Turn To
Our record of success in complex cases has generated a significant number of referrals from other lawyers. In fact, most of our clients are sent to us by other firms around the world. We welcome the involvement of those forwarding attorneys who share the contingency fees in proportion to their efforts and responsibilities.
