Kreindler Investigating Man Killed in Subway Train Dragging Incident in Brooklyn, New York
What Happened
On Monday, September 28, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m., a man was killed after he exited an A train heading for Manhattan at the Utica Avenue station in Brooklyn, New York. The man's bag got caught in the closing doors of the subway train and dragged him backwards onto the tracks. Police and paramedics responded to a 6:05 p.m. 911 call and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Guardian reported that police stated the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation into the subway dragging incident remains ongoing.
