Kreindler Partners Win $24.5 Million Jury Verdict For A 28-Year Old Accident Victim
A New York State Supreme Court jury of six returned a $24.5 million compensatory damages verdict for a 28-year old pedestrian accident victim on December 12, 2003. Kreindler & Kreindler LLP partners Marc S. Moller and David C. Cook represented the plaintiff in the trial that spanned nearly seven weeks and produced the extraordinary result.
Three years in preparation, the complex liability, medical and other damages issues were presented through numerous eyewitnesses, experts and graphic demonstrative evidence to insure that the jury would appreciate the nature and extent of the injuries inflicted upon our plaintiff and the hotly contested damages claims. Defendant conceded liability on the eve of the trial.
The verdict is one of the highest of its kind recorded in New York County Supreme Court in a personal injury case and is consistent with the magnitude of the injuries sustained and losses incurred.
