Partners Marc Moller and Blanca Rodriguez recently concluded settlements of cases handled by the firm arising from the December 1995 crash of an American Airlines' Boeing 757 on approach to Cali, Colombia. Under the Warsaw Convention, proof of "wilful misconduct" had to be established to recover full compensatory damages against the airline. Despite this high liability threshold, as a result of our hard work in this case, full damage recoveries were achieved in every case. Marc Moller served as co-lead counsel of the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee. Partner Noah Kushlefsky assisted in liability discovery.
