American Airlines Flight 58 Turbulence Case

Partner James Kreindler won a $2.25 million verdict against the airline from a Manhattan federal court jury in October 1999. The verdict was for the pain and suffering sustained by 13 passengers due to an in-flight encounter with severe turbulence which lasted 28 seconds. Each passenger was awarded between $150,000 and $215,000.
