Taylor et. al. v. D&D Aviation: Kreindler Settles An Insurance Dispute Arising From The 1996 Crash Of An MU2 Which Killed Several Coca-Cola Executives

In a true demonstration of the firm's dogged determination, Kreindler & Kreindler recently settled an insurance dispute arising from the 1996 crash of an MU2 which killed several Coca Cola and advertising agency executives. By 1998 the firm had obtained successful settlements against various defendants, including the manufacturer, for the families, but we continued our efforts to maximize the compensation paid by filing a declaratory judgment action against the insurer of an aviation entity that had leased the aircraft at or near the time of the accident. A dispute over the policy language and whether this aircraft was covered was vigorously contested by the insurer, Cigna, but in the end Kreindler prevailed in obtaining a settlement in favor of our clients.
