Kreindler & Kreindler: New Matters

Trump Tower Soho Accident — Kreindler & Kreindler LLP

Trump SoHo Construction Disaster:
Kreindler retained to investigate fall of worker from Trump building. Scaffolding and Section 240 Labor Law issues are raised.

Kreindler & Kreindler LLP has been retained to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fall of a construction worker from the Trump SoHo building. Kreindler has handled many construction accidents involving seriously injured or killed construction workers who have fallen while at a job construction site.

These cases raise unique and complicated issues under the New York Labor Law, specifically Section 240(1), which provides for the liability of building owners and contractors when a construction worker falls off of scaffolding, ladders or even buildings. Specific "anti-fall" regulations as well as other OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) safety and workplace standards also may apply.

Kreindler partners David Cook, Noah Kushlefsky and Dan Rose and Counsel Paul Edelman are handling this matter.
