MS Explorer Sinking Off Antarctic.
Kreindler & Kreindler has experience in maritime disaster cases like the November 23, 2007 sinking of the MS Explorer in the frigid waters off Antarctica.
Our inside information is that a Toronto venue contact clause applies in the case, which may implicate Canadian law. Claims arising from the sinking are governed by the Athens Convention relating to Carriage of Passengers and Their Luggage by Sea, 1974. The Convention has a liability limit of about $70,000, but there are exceptions to the limit.
