Justin T. Green
Partner
Justin T. Green joined Kreindler & Kreindler LLP in 1997 and became a partner in January of
2003. He focuses on aviation, products liability, maritime and other complex litigation.
Mr. Green is a Persian Gulf War veteran; he served in the United States Marine Corps as an
attack helicopter pilot and aviation safety officer, responsible for his squadron's flight safety and
for investigating aviation accidents. He is a 1990 graduate of the Aviation Safety Program at the
Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
He holds a commercial license from the Federal Aviation Administration in airplanes and
helicopters, and he is instrument-rated in both. He has flight time in many different aircraft,
including aircraft manufactured by Bell Helicopter, Inc., Cessna Aircraft Company, Sikorsky
Helicopter and Piper Aircraft, Inc.
Mr. Green holds an AV peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest peer
rating awarded by the organization. He was also selected as a 2007 New York Super Lawyer
(read the article).
As an aviation lawyer, Mr. Green has litigated dozens of major aviation cases, including
wrongful death cases that arose from the following crashes:
- U.S. Air Force CT-43 (Boeing 737) in Croatia, carrying Commerce Secretary Ron
Brown
- September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks
- SwissAir Flight 111
- EgyptAir Flight 990
- Whyalla Airlines Piper PA-31 airplane in Australia
- Colgate Palmolive BK-117 corporate helicopter in New York
- Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters in Canada and Ireland
- UH-IN "Huey" helicopters in Texas and California
- Cessna 206 airplanes in New Jersey and Montana
- Bell 206L Long Ranger helicopters in British Columbia and New York
- MD-520 helicopter in Switzerland
- and Cirrus SR 22 airplane in New York
He has also handled important personal injury cases involving claims of negligence and products
liability.
Mr. Green belongs to numerous professional groups, including the American Bar Association,
where he served as Vice-Chairman of the Torts and Insurance Practice's Aviation Section for
2004-2005, and as a member of the Air & Space Law Section. He is also a member of the
American Association for Justice, where he has served as the Aviation Section's Newsletter
Editor for 2004-2005, Treasurer and Secretary for 2005-2006, Vice-Chairman for 2006-2007,
and is currently Chair-Elect.
He has authored numerous articles on aviation safety, products liability and wrongful death law.

Mr. Green has been interviewed as an aviation attorney by major media, including The New York

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Union College in Schenectady, New
York, and earned his law degree from Fordham Law School in New York City. While at
Fordham, he served as the Writing and Research Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and
was a member of the school's Moot Court Board.
Mr. Green clerked for the Honorable Alfred J. Lechner, U.S.D.J., in the United States District
Court in New Jersey before joining Kreindler & Kreindler LLP. |
