Michael Sherwin's primary practice at Kreindler & Kreindler LLP is aviation law, with a special focus in military cases. He is currently involved in several military helicopter and fixed wing accidents, in addition to various general aviation cases. His secondary practice area is commercial law, where he is representing clients in the computer and technology industries.

Mr. Sherwin is a 1998 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School. Upon graduation from Notre Dame, Mr. Sherwin entered active duty in the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the aircraft carriers USS John F. Kennedy and USS Theodore Roosevelt and was the intelligence officer for VFA-82 (F/A-18 Fighter/Attack Squadron) and Air Wing One. Mr. Sherwin subsequently served on the intelligence staff of General Tommy Franks and General John Abizaid in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq).

After leaving the U.S. Navy in autumn 2003, Mr. Sherwin served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Paul R. Matia, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio. He then entered private practice as an Associate at Kreindler & Kreindler LLP.

Mr. Sherwin is admitted to practice law in both his home state of Ohio and New York; he is also admitted to practice in several U.S. district and circuit courts throughout the United States.
