Jennifer Johnston Terando is a 2000 graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her BSN degree with a minor in psychology, cum laude, from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in 1997. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles. She is admitted to the California Bar and the Illinois Bar.
Following law school, she practiced for several years as a defense attorney in Los Angeles at the law firms of Lafollette, Johnson, DeHaas, Fesler & Ames and Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney. From 2004-2007, she was with the Chicago law firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon. Ms. Terando joined the law firm of Kreindler & Kreindler upon her return to Southern California in 2008.
Ms. Terando has experience in the areas of wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment and business litigation. She has second chaired numerous trials and participated in the 2002 ABOTA trial school.
Ms. Terando has also worked as a pediatric and post-partum nurse. While in Cleveland, she worked as a registered nurse at Rainbow Babies & Children's hospital in their surgical unit and their Chronic Care Unit, where she served as a charge nurse. While in Los Angeles, Ms. Terando worked as a registered nurse at Cedars Sinai and UCLA medical centers in their pediatric and post-partum units. She has also participated in a volunteer medical mission providing medical care in a rural area of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
Ms. Terando has lectured to attorneys and paralegals on the interpretation of medical records and medical issues in the litigation arena.
